Highway Safety Program Manager, Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs
Terry Henderson is the Highway Safety Program Manager at the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) Law Enforcement and Traffic Safety Division (LETS). His office manages all grant funding received from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Its primary mission is to reduce traffic fatalities and major injuries resulting from highway traffic crashes.
In his position, Terry coordinates the activities of the nine Alabama Community Traffic Safety Program Coordinators, the Child Passenger Safety Coordinator and the Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor and Department Program Managers.
Terry serves on the Governors Highway Safety Association Board of Directors as the Treasurer as well as representative for NHTSA Region 4. He is Co-Chairman of Alabama's State Safety Coordinating Committee, Chairman of the State Traffic Records Coordinating Committee, and serves as the Alabama Senior Law Enforcement Liaison. In addition, he belongs to the State Emergency Medical Services Advisory Board and Emergency Medical Services for Children Advisory Board.
Terry is a native of Chambers County and is a graduate of Auburn University and currently resides in Ashland, Alabama.
