Are You Set for Scottsdale?
GHSA's Annual Meeting is fast approaching. This year's gathering occurs September 7-10 in Scottsdale, Arizona. The meeting theme is "Turning Knowledge into Action," bringing key researchers together with state and federal officials to discuss how to turn research into successful state highway safety programs.
Confirmed general session speakers include Adrian Lund, President, Insurance Institute for Highway Safety; Susan Ferguson, President of Ferguson International, LLC; Robyn Robertson, President and CEO of Traffic Injury Research Foundation; and Pete Rahn, President of AASHTO. New this year will be a general session focusing on the next highway reauthorization. Top officials from AAMVA, AASHTO, MADD and the General Accountability Office will participate.
Sixteen workshops are scheduled and will include the latest research and programmatic approaches to a variety of highway safety challenges. Evening social functions will allow for networking and seeing old friends. Note that both evening functions will be outdoors, so casual (and cool) attire is appropriate.
