The Devastating Consequences of Distracted Driving

Secretary LaHood, along with Steven Kiefer, founder of The Kiefer Foundation and Jennifer Smith, CEO of StopDistractions.org, will discuss current laws in place to keep drivers safe behind the wheel. They will also share their thoughts on what the future holds so that crashes involving distracted driving can come to an end, keeping pedestrians and motorists safe from associated traffic deaths and injuries. This virtual event will highlight the stories of victim families who are now advocates on behalf of stricter laws as former Secretary of Transportation LaHood shares his expertise and participates in a Q&A session.
