August 10 – 14, 2020 | Virtually
The Association of Transportation Safety Information Professionals (ATSIP) has decided to conduct its first-ever virtual conference August 10-14. The virtual conference will include traffic records roundtables, informative plenary and concurrent sessions, sponsorship opportunities and more.
GHSA Senior Director of External Engagement Pam Shadel Fischer will open the second day of the virtual Traffic Records Forum (TRF) – Tuesday, August 11 – with the plenary presentation, Bridging the Data Gap, at Noon ET. Data is the lifeblood of highway safety, but what do State Highway Safety Offices (SHSOs) do when data aren’t readily available? Should an SHSO hold off addressing an emerging issue or attempt to get ahead of it? Fischer will highlight two examples – micromobility and the uptick in speeding during the pandemic – to explore what data are and aren’t available and the impact on states and invite TRF attendees to share their insights on how to bridge the data gap.
There’s no cost to participate in the 2020 TRF. To learn more and to register, visit https://atsipvirtualtrf.lpages.co/virtual-traffic-records-forum-2020/.
