Ensuring equity for all is one of the most basic and important positions that law enforcement can take in the service of their communities. Traffic stops have long been at the center of the argument that communities are over-policed due to physical or socio-economic reasons. Addressing those issues on the front lines of community and law enforcement engagement using transparent data, training and impartiality will assist agencies in promoting strong relationships with all members of the communities that they serve.

Leading the efforts of fair and equitable policing within their respective services are Hazel Crest Police Department Chief and President of the Illinois Chiefs of Police Association Mitchell R. Davis III, M.S.C.J., and Tempe Police Department Chief Jeff Glover. The Chiefs will share their experiences and lessons learned that they are using to shape the future of professional law enforcement.
