Ford Driving Skills for Life (Ford DSFL) teaches teens the skills they need to be safe on the roads. The program features a website, hands-on driving events, and other materials – focusing on these key skill areas: driver distraction, speed and space management, vehicle handling, and hazard recognition.
See below for the latest activities.
For the eleventh year in a row, Ford DSFL is offering grants to State Highway Safety Offices (SHSOs) to bring elements of the program to their states. In 2018, five states will receive funding to support and develop teen safe driving programs.
The 2017 grantees were Georgia, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire and New York. Funded programs continue to run throughout the 2017-2018 school year. For examples of past state projects using Ford DSFL funding, visit our State Highway Safety Showcases page.
