Under the general direction of the Director of the Office of Traffic Safety, the Traffic Records Program Manager is the primary liaison for an enterprise Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS) solution by leading business processes and assessments. This position exists to reduce California traffic-related fatalities and severe injuries by providing leadership to improve the timeliness, accuracy, completeness, compatibility and accessibility of state traffic safety data; integrating state traffic safety data systems; and enhancing the compatibility and interoperability of state data systems with other states’ and national traffic safety data systems. This position requires understanding of highly complex data systems and projects having multi-disciplinary and cross-agency impact. This position represents Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) and the California State Transportation Agency (CalSTA) to external partners and stakeholders.
