Gweedo Memorial Foundation

The Gweedo Memorial Foundation honors 16-year-old Joseph Conner Williams Guido, who was killed by an unlicensed driver. His mother, Tammy, the recipient of GHSA’s O’Rourke Award in 2024, is a national advocate for teen safe driving education, who has successfully advanced five bills to reduce risky driving and protect young people in her home state of Virginia. Her work demonstrates how story driven advocacy and parent focused education can shift behavior and strengthen safety programs.
