The Bureau of Occupational Health and Injury Prevention, Injury Prevention Programs Section (IPPS) collaborates with the Epidemiology and Surveillance Section to guide intervention, outreach and prevention programs aimed at reducing roadway deaths and injuries in New York. Data collected by the Bureau facilitates in-depth data analysis and identification and prioritization of intervention targets. The IPPS staff collaborate with transportation and traffic safety organizations to coordinate engineering, enforcement and education efforts.
