  • Evaluation of Motorcycle Licensing and Training Requirements
    The project objectives are to (1) evaluate the current state of the practice for motorcycle licensing in the United States and (2) develop recommendations for improvement based on the latest empirical data. The deadline is April 21, 2023.
  • Deploying Transportation Resilience Practices in State DOTs: Implementation
    The objective of this project is to develop workshops to support state DOTs in implementing NCHRP Research Report 970: Mainstreaming System Resilience Concepts into Transportation Agencies: A Guide through the planning and facilitation of at least four pilot workshops with state DOTs. The workshops would cover the concepts underlying the guide and will allow different state DOT staff to assess their current resilience status and to identify state DOT-specific strategies. The deadline is April 20, 2023.

  • Implementing the Design Practices Guide for Applying Climate Change Information to Hydrologic and Coastal Design of Transportation Infrastructure
    The objective of this project is to enhance and expand the implementation of the design practices guide, focusing only on inland hydrology/hydraulics, by providing training and disseminating the results to a broad audience of practitioners and decision makers.  The deadline is April 17, 2023.

  • Implementing the Asset Valuation Guide Developed Through NCHRP Project 23-06
    The objective of this implementation project is to promote and support further use of the asset valuation guide through the development and dissemination of outreach materials that provides an overview of the guide, through case studies, and supplemental tools and worksheets. The deadline is April 24, 2023.

  • LED Applications on Traffic Control Devices
    The objective of this research is to evaluate various LED sign applications and provide a guide to the effective use of LED applications in traffic control devices for the road user and current generation automotive machine vision systems. The deadline is April 21, 2023.

  • UAS Operations Practical Skills Pilot Program for State DOTs 
    The objective of this research project is to develop and pilot method(s) for state DOT UAS pilots to demonstrate practical skills of UAS operations that complement the CFR 14 Part 107 knowledge exam. The method(s) can be undertaken virtually, in a field operation setting, or in a combination of both. The deadline: April 24, 2023.
