Tom Glass was elected Treasurer of GHSA in 2023. He previously served as Chair of the Research and Governance Committees, and currently participates on the Federal Relations Committee.
Glass has served as Chief of the Highway Safety Section within the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) since August 2022. This section administers a variety of programs addressing driver behavior and roadway safety issues in addition to supporting crash data systems and analysis. These programs engage safety stakeholders to form collaborative partnerships, leveraging resources to efficiently achieve collective goals.
Prior to this position, Glass managed the Program Services Unit for roughly 14 years, which included the coordination of the Pennsylvania Highway Safety Office. Before beginning his career with PennDOT in 2004, Glass worked for the USDA Farm Service Agency digitizing land use. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Geoenvironmental Studies from Shippensburg University, specializing in Geographic Information Systems.
