AV TEST Initiative

July 16 | 11:00–11:45 a.m. ET

The U.S. Department of Transportation is hosting a virtual event for their Automated Vehicle Transparency and Engagement for Safe Testing (AV TEST) Initiative. Speakers will continue the conversation initiated during the launch of the AV TEST Initiative last month, by presenting their efforts and perspectives on the safe testing and development of automated driving systems. This session will focus on efforts by State and local governments.

GHSA Executive Director Jonathan Adkins will provide remarks during this webinar.

This roundtable discussion will examine behavioral approaches to speed management, including pandemic speeding trends and highway safety community countermeasures. Panelists will discuss automated enforcement, as well as an upcoming speed management pilot project sponsored by GHSA, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and the National Road Safety Foundation.
