California Traffic Safety Summit

November 7-8, 2023 | Garden Grove, CA

The California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) and AAA have partnered to bring highway safety, public health, law enforcement, and business leaders from across the state to address the ongoing roadway crisis. The 2023 California Traffic Safety Summit will be held at the Hyatt Regency Orange County, November 7-8. The summit theme, “Responding to the Crisis Together: Prioritizing Safety and Achieving Equitable Outcomes,” affirms the importance of prioritizing safety initiatives and engaging and involving communities in implementing proven and innovative solutions for preventing crashes. Leaders will deliver data-driven, evidence-based strategies focused on vulnerable road users, impaired driving, equity in transportation safety, and other traffic safety priorities.

General sessions will focus on the pedestrian safety crisis and impaired driving problem at the National, State, and Local levels.

Workshops will center around the Safe System Approach while diving deeper into a wide array of traffic safety topics, including speeding, impaired driving, micro-mobility, equity in traffic enforcement, how to reach and support underserved communities, traffic data resources, auto safety technology, traffic safety culture, occupant protection, and teen driver safety.
