National Summit on Rural Road Safety

September 12-14, 2023 | Oklahoma City, OK

The National Center for Rural Road Safety is the premier hub for training, resources and technical assistance that help drive rural roadway fatalities to zero. The Center’s mission is to develop and share dynamic, collaborative and responsive tools that support rural road practitioners in their efforts to navigate and build safe transportation systems in their local and Tribal areas.

For the past eight years, biennially, the Center has held the National Summit on Rural Road Safety. This year’s summit will be held September 12-14 in Oklahoma City, OK. All rural road practitioners and stakeholders with any level of rural road knowledge are welcome to attend.

For the first time, the summit will be a hybrid meeting, welcoming attendees in-person and virtually. Also, the summit will be held in a partnership with the National Association of Development Organization’s (NADO) National Regional Transportation Conference.

What does that mean to attendees? Greater access to more resources! Appropriately, the summit’s theme is “Resources for Rurals: Equipping you to save lives.”

Attendees will get sessions and trainings customized for all rural road needs, ideas on how to partner with other agencies in local areas, networking opportunities and takeaways that are practical and simple to put into use.

The meeting will be held at the Sheraton Oklahoma City Downtown, 1 N. Broadway Ave. Click here for more information and to register for the summit.
