Join the Oregon Department of Transportation team as an operations assistant, where you will support the division program managers with grant paperwork, grantee compliance issues and training, report creation and tracking and more! Our office is responsible for monitoring the safety of transportation in Oregon through education and awareness. Qualifications

  • Two years of secretarial or basic administrative support experience that includes records processing, generating documents, and gathering and sorting data.
  • Experience in development and maintenance of office forms, procedures, guidelines, notifications to staff and partner agencies.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills with business acumen for reports, memos, invitations, agendas, meeting minutes, instructions, emails, etc.
  • Experience assisting management with ordering and inventory tracking of materials.
  • Ability to analyze information and translate it into an understandable, readable format to distribute to appropriate audiences.
  • Excellent independent judgement and organizational skills in relation to time management, document management, compiling information and coordinating responses and deadlines.
  • Strong understanding and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
